Matt Glass
With over 20 years in the industry, Matt Glass founded True Cut Building on a simple philosophy: approach every project as if it were your own. Matt’s extensive technical background, including a Diploma of Building and a Diploma of Quantity Surveying, allows him to navigate the most complex architectural puzzles with precision.
Matt specialises in high-end residential builds, where he enjoys the challenge of blending heritage character with modern architectural detailing. For Matt, “striving for perfection” means focusing on the finer details that separate an average build from an exceptional one. Whether he’s liaising with architects and councils or solving technical site problems, his focus remains on honest communication and delivering a timeless, light-filled finish.

Site Foreman
Chad
With over eight years of experience and a Cert IV in Building, Chad is the driving force behind the seamless execution of our projects. As a Site Foreman, he specialises in bringing homes to life from the ground up, ensuring every stage of the build meets True Cut’s rigorous standards for perfection.
Chad’s philosophy is simple: the client always comes first. He prides himself on maintaining a presentable, highly organised site and leading his team with a “can-do” attitude. For Chad, the ultimate reward is the final two weeks of a project, where the vision finally crystallises into a high-quality reality.
Specialty: Full-scale residential builds and complex additions.
Design Eye: Currently favoring the clean, modern lines of James Hardie Axon cladding.
Values: Integrity, team collaboration, and honest workmanship.
Qualifications: Certificate IV in Building and Construction.
Apprentice Carpenter
Kane
Currently in his third year of carpentry, Kane is an integral part of the True Cut building team. He brings a disciplined work ethic and a “pride in every detail” mindset to every residential site. For Kane, integrity in building isn’t just a buzzword; it’s about following strong morals and ensuring the structural bones of a home—the framing—are executed to perfection.
Kane thrives on the tangible progress of a build, finding the most satisfaction in a productive day of framing where the home’s silhouette begins to take shape. Whether he’s managing complex demolition on a challenging Coogee site or installing precision cladding, Kane’s focus remains on maintaining a clean, professional, and efficient environment.
Specialty: Residential framing and detailed cladding.
Design Eye: A fan of the sleek, architectural look of James Hardie Lineal cladding.

Qualified Carpenter
Sam
Since joining True Cut Building, Sam has quickly transitioned from a dedicated apprentice to a lead carpenter running his own projects. Now a fully qualified carpenter with a Certificate III and nearing completion of his Certificate IV in Building, Sam brings a high level of technical accountability to the team.
Sam is the “problem solver” on-site, known for his ability to handle complex mathematical layouts and navigate the most awkward, tight-access structural challenges. Like the rest of the team, His philosophy is rooted in “striving for perfection” – not just for the aesthetic result, but to ensure a clean, precise foundation for every trade that follows. Whether it’s a complex framing stage or a detailed structural roof, Sam finds his greatest satisfaction in seeing a home’s silhouette take shape with speed and accuracy.
Specialty: Structural framing, complex roof layouts, and technical deck construction.
Qualifications: Qualified Carpenter (Cert III); completing Cert IV in Building.
